Unique Proposal Ideas

Before the pandemic struck, there were countless tested and proven proposal ideas you could go for. All you had to do was get online, and you’d find a long list of romantic ways to ask your partner to marry you.

Now, the pandemic is here, and things are not quite the same. You’ve probably been waiting for everything to return to normal. But even with the vaccine here, we may have to wait a while. We’d like to let you know you are not alone.

We also understand that though you’ve waited, your emotions cannot stay hidden forever. So that’s why we made this post. Here, we outline some fun and unique ways that you can pop the question now, and still make it special.

·   The Rooftop Proposal

If you’re lucky enough to stay in an apartment with a rooftop, this is for you. How about utilizing that space for your proposal? You can have a company decorate the space with some balloons and flowers or even go at it yourself.

Next, have a table for two set up for a nice romantic dinner. Once that’s ready, all you need is a speaker to play music and some unique pictures of your relationship. The stage is set, and you can propose when you feel the time is right. Another variation of this is to have the space set up for a cozy rooftop picnic instead.

·   Get to Their Heart Through Their Stomach

If you’re both food lovers, your partner will enjoy this one. Use a fun recipe to create something magical for a beautiful breakfast and surprise your partner in bed. If cooking is not your forte, have no worries, many vendors can come to the rescue.

Order some lovely heart-shaped waffles or custom-made cakes for breakfast. You can then have them customized with writing that says, “Will you marry me?” When they see the question, it’s time to get down on one knee and pull out that ring.

·   Do A Room Makeover

We love this one because it is easy, fun and a lovely surprise. While your partner is at work, take a day off and rearrange your room. Then order candles, balloons, string lights, and a “Will you marry me” banner.

Get creative as you put these up in the prettiest way you can think of. If creative design is not your thing, hire someone local who is great at it to help with preparations. Once your partner gets back, sweep them off their feet by popping the question as they walk into the room.

·   Let Your Pet Assist

If you and your partner own a pet, you could incorporate them into your proposal. Order a custom name tag, T-shirt, tuxedo, or bandana that has the words “Will you marry me” on it. The item you go for should depend on your kind of pet.

Then, you can have your pet with you while you propose. We’ve even seen someone go as far as teaching their pet a new command to show off while they got down and proposed. It was beautiful.

·   Include Family and Loved Ones

We’ll start by pointing out that this proposal isn’t only limited to Zoom. You can use any other conference video online platform for this. The plan is to assign every family member with a word in the phrase “Will you marry me?” They can design the word and choose to display it however they want or according to your specifications.

On the day of the proposal, initiate the session, and give everyone a cue word. Once it’s time, they can all display the words while you get down on one knee. It’ll be a lovely way to involve your loved ones, and your partner will be thrilled. Best of luck!!!
